This timeless classic Rolex Day-Date 36 reference 18238 is crafted in 18K yellow gold. The watch features a rare black dial with factory set diamond hour markers, the dial has aged elegantly and shows a beautiful stardust motif. The watch is on the iconic President bracelet. Powered by the Rolex caliber 3155 automatic movement with a double quickset function. This model represents a classic example of Rolex’s flagship model. The watch is all original, was produced in 1997 and comes with original box, papers, booklets, and accessories.
Case
The solid 18K yellow gold case measures 36 mm in diameter and is fitted with a scratch resistant sapphire crystal with Cyclops magnifier over the date. The stardust black dial features diamond hour markers, an inner minute track, the day display at 12 o’clock, and the date display at 3 o’clock. Water resistance is rated to 10 ATM. Fitted with a classic fluted bezel.
Bracelet
The watch is fitted with its original 18K yellow gold President bracelet secured by a hidden fold-over clasp. 23 links plus 2 end links. 6 screws.
Condition
The watch is in very good pre-owned condition and shows signs of wear, including small barely visible scratches on the case, case back, bezel and bracelet consistent with careful use. The dial remains well preserved and the crystal is clean. The movement has been machine-tested for accuracy and water resistance, and performs within Rolex standards. The watch was recently serviced in house by an independent Rolex certified master watchmaker.
