Overview
This elegant and well preserved Rolex Day-Date 36 reference 18238 is a classic example of Rolex’s flagship model, crafted entirely in 18K yellow gold. It features a blue sunburst dial with applied hour markers and roman numerals minute track. Paired with a fluted yellow gold bezel and the iconic President bracelet. Powered by the Rolex automatic caliber 3155. This watch is all original and was produced in 1993. This watch remains unpolished and has gained, through age, a warm patina throughout. This watch includes it's original green case back sticker.
Case
The solid 18K yellow gold case measures 36mm in diameter and is fitted with a fluted yellow gold bezel and scratch-resistant sapphire crystal. The blue dial is clean and well preserved, featuring baton index markers and a date display at 3 o’clock under a Cyclops magnifier and weekday at 12 o'clock. Water resistance is rated to 10 ATM.
Bracelet
The watch is fitted with its original 18K yellow gold President bracelet secured by a hidden fold-over clasp. The bracelet remains tight with no sag and has never been polished, retaining strong definition and original character. The watch has 25 links, not including the 2 end links (total of 27 links including the 2 end links). The watch has 8 screws with 6 removable links, this is one link extra than factory standard. The watch fits an 8 inch wrist.
Condition
The watch shows visible and tangible signs of wear, with light scratches on the case sides. Light wear on the bezel, case back, and bracelet is present but remains barely visible. The dial is clean and attractive. The movement has been machine-tested for accuracy and water resistance and performs within Rolex standards.
