Overview
This timeless vintage and classic Rolex Day-Date 36, reference 1807, is crafted entirely in 18K yellow gold. The watch features a champagne sunburst dial with matching gold hour markers and inner minute track, paired with a generic brown leather band and tang buckle. Powered by the 1556 Rolex caliber automatic movement. This model represents a classic example of Rolex’s flagship model. The watch was produced in 1968.
Case
The solid 18K yellow gold case measures 36 mm in diameter and is fitted with a plexiglass crystal with Cyclops magnifier over the date. The champagne dial features matching gold hour markers, an inner minute track, the day display at 12 o’clock, and the date display at 3 o’clock. Water resistance is rated to 10 ATM. Fitted with a bark finish bezel.
Bracelet
The watch is fitted with a generic brown leather band and secured by a steel tang buckle.
Condition
The watch is in excellent pre-owned condition and shows minor signs of wear, including small hairline scratches on the case, and barely visible on the case back consistent with careful use. The dial has signs of age in the form of light dotting throughout in a uniform pattern, creating a visually pleasant texture. The movement has been machine-tested for accuracy and water resistance, and performs within Rolex standards having recently been serviced.
