Overview

A rare and well-preserved vintage Patek Philippe reference 2486, nicknamed “Cioccolatone,” produced in the 1950s. The watch is crafted in solid 18K yellow gold and powered by a manual winding movement. It features the distinctive square case with rounded edges and a stepped bezel that defines the Cioccolatone design. The watch is fitted with a silver dial with applied baton hour markers and a subsidiary seconds register at 6 o’clock. The watch is all original except for the leather band and buckle. The watch was recently serviced in-house.

Case

The 18K yellow gold case measures approximately 31 x 37 mm and is fitted with a plexiglass crystal. The case features the rounded-square Cioccolatone profile with a stepped bezel and curved lugs. The silver dial includes applied baton hour markers, a minute track, and a recessed sub-seconds register at 6 o’clock.

Bracelet

The watch is fitted with a brown leather strap and secured by a plated tang buckle.

Condition

The watch shows visible signs of wear, including minor hairline scratches on the case and bezel consistent with careful use. The dial remains in excellent condition with few signs of age. The case back has signs of wear in the form of scratches and a personalized engraving from the previous owner. The watch is running strong and was most recently serviced in-house on April 28, 2026.

Returns missing any of the above will not be refunded until the missing items are also returned.
If materials are not returned, the return will be denied.
